This upcycled rucksack was designed by Qais, Shafique and Mirza, experienced tailors from Afghanistan, who now live in Greece. Invest in slow fashion by purchasing this practical backpack that is nearly entirely made from upcycled materials. Every bag is unique as the tailors that make the bags chose the colour scheme based on fabrics that they can find amongst unusable clothing donations. You can find the name of the asylum seeker or refugee that created your ethical backpack written on a tag inside.
The black fabric incorporated in the handmade rucksack designs come from broken camp beds that were used by refugees at Oinofyta Refugee Camp. Cream fabric comes from tent that our tailors used to sleep in and denim comes from donated jeans that are frayed or ripped.
This trendy backpack comes in small and large, as well as a range of colours for you to pick from to suit your style. The canvas bag has adjustable straps and a drawstring close. The Farsi writing on the front says Oinofyta. All backpacks feature the Oinofyta Wares logo, which is hand-machined by our talented tailors.
